...if i'd be a billionaire, this would be my next Camera, for sure....reduced to the max, no distracting menues, display, etc...just the basics, it looks like a M3 from 1954, seriously, that's a very lovely tool... only 600 worldwide...but i could buy one all my life.....but seriously, that is what it means to be "pure" photography, what the Nikon Df ad campaign stated, but never delivered....

Hi Marc,

I think it is a very innovative move from Leica, but I don[t think I would be ready for that.
If there was a good scanner around for home use, I'd go for the M A type 127, but on all honesty, I could still get a beautiful M6 for %1500.

I am an old gal who likes gauges :-)

Hi Marc

I have used M2 M3 and M4 .. all without a meter. When you used them daily, having no meter is not a handicap. Today I'm not sure I could judge as well as I once did, too many different ISO, we shoot under different conditions etc.

Would like shooting some with a film M, ideally the MA type 127 but an M6 would be more practical ..... question is Anyone can recommend a good scanner that does not cost 10k So far the only scanner worth using that I'm aware is the Hasselblad drum scanner. Tried many others and have been unable to produce the desired quality.

I used to use a Pentax SLR back a long time....now since 2001 digital, bought my 1st DSLR in 2005. I do love my Dynax 7D for all the dials & switches, without menu diving. :-) Maybe in 2015 i'll get a X100 Series Fuji, like the concept also way much. Compared to LEICA, a Fuji X Series is financially feasible.
